In car audio systems must overcome a good deal of background noise, including road noise, engine noise and noise from other vehicles. By adding an amplifier to your car you can improve the sound quality and amplify the volume.
For the easiest installation, look for a single car amplifier to power all the speakers in a car system. For a more advanced car amplification solution you could consider amplifiers with one, two, or four channels. Also, if you'll be adding a subwoofer for killer low-end, you'll usually need a separate amplifier for that. Each car speaker will use one channel of amplification.
